The first font I ever fell in love with was the infamous comic sans. At that time I had no idea about the controversy it was stirring all over the world.
I was a kid on my parents computer, and I was typing my first documents in Word (or if it was WordPerfect, I don’t really remember). Of course I needed a kick-ass heading, and I was scanning through the list.
Somewhere close to the top of the list (A, B, C, right) I discovered a curious name, “Comic Sans”. In Norwegian “komisk” means comical, and “sans” means sense. So I thought the font was called Comical Sense. That sounded fun indeed!
So I picked that font, purely because of the name, and it became the first font ever I could connect with.
